ABOUT ME

My name is Alvaro Melo. I was born in Brazil and moved to the UK in 1992. I am passionate about delivering a high quality personalised service in hair care.

I started my career in hairdressing in June 2003. I acquired my first qualification later that year in specialised hairdressing while studying at the London open college network. Since then I have gained further experience and qualifications whilst working with some of the major high street brands such as Hairmasters and Regis International. I also have many loyal personal clients. (See Qualifications tab above). I have 10 years specialised training and experience in both Afro & European hair care.

My experience includes styling; colouring; perming; setting; applying relaxer; various hair treatments; brazilian blow dry etc   

Having gained the necessary practical experience and qualifications I then went on to teach hairdressing skills.

As well as working with high street salons and private clients, i have more recently added to my experience through my work with some private residential homes in London and the home counties. Here I provided a service for elderly clients many of whom have health issues including dementia. I have completed a hairdressing specific Dementia training course organised by the Alzheimer's society. 

I have a real passion for people and i strive to ensure all customers are fully satisfied with my very personal service.
